Authentic Megalodon Tooth from Bone Valley, Florida — 1.98" Fossil

Own a genuine piece of prehistoric ocean history with this 1.98" Megalodon tooth, recovered from the world-renowned fossil beds of Bone Valley, Florida, a region famous for yielding exceptional multi-colored fossil shark teeth. This specimen showcases a natural and unique orange coloration, a strong root, a nice size, and well-defined serrations, making it an attractive specimen for collectors of all levels. This specimen does have some feeding damage to the tip and blade.

Shed by a young Otodus megalodon during the Miocene–Pliocene Epoch (approximately 3–15 million years ago), this fossil is a rare remnant of one of the largest predatory sharks to ever live. Every fossil at Fossil Driven is hand-selected, 100% natural, and backed by our Authenticity Guarantee, so you can buy with confidence.

About This Specimen

Bone Valley fossils, especially one of this size, are prized for their rich and unique coloration, and this specimen offers both aesthetic appeal and collector value.

All Fossil Driven fossils are guaranteed authentic, unrestored, and accurately photographed, so you know exactly what you’re getting before you buy.

Where This Fossil Comes From

This tooth was recovered from the fossil-bearing gravels and sediments of Bone Valley, Florida, an area famous among fossil hunters for producing high-quality and typically small Megalodon teeth and other marine fossils. Over millions of years, teeth like this became buried in ancient river channels and sediment, slowly mineralizing and preserving until they were discovered by collectors. Unfortunately, this location is no longer accessible by collectors as the property owners of the mine have made it illegal to hunt there. If you're caught trespassing, you will be slapped with a hefty fine and prosecuted. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.
