Comments: An overall beautiful fossil megalodon tooth from Venice, Florida. Venice is known as the shark tooth capital of the world, and for good reason. They are well known for their abundance of fossil shark teeth that you can find on their beaches, diving, and if you’re really lucky, land sites. This specific tooth was found diving off of the coast in about 20-30 feet of water. This one has been found completely encrusted by calcium deposits found in the ocean. A mystery tooth per se. This specimen would have come from an adult megalodon shark with a length of about 20 to 25 feet.
